Business Analyst - Online Operations

Reports to:        Lead Business Analyst – Online Operations
Department:      Non Retail

Overall Purpose of Job:

Due to increased volume of development work within our Non-Retail Development team, we require a Business Analyst to join the team.

The overall role and responsibility of the Business Analyst is to develop and progress Paddy Powers online business’ development requirements and ensure that these aims and objectives are met by the technical solutions delivered.

The Online Operations Business Analyst role will focus on the development work required to support customer service initiatives, including online payments, fraud prevention and affiliate management projects.

Main duties & responsibilities:

  • To create functional specifications for development projects in accordance with the objectives of both the Online and Marketing Operations business channels.
  • To carry out requirements analysis and assist with formulation of new development proposals 
  • Liaise with internal and external software development teams to clarify development requirements.
  • Liaise with the internal testing team to ensure project requirements are delivered as expected. This will include user-acceptance testing of new developments.
  • Plan and co-ordinate change management required for the roll-out of new developments

  • Practical knowledge of software development lifecycles 
  • Ability to work to exacting deadlines
  • Ability to work in a team environment and on your own initiative.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelors/Masters degree in a business or technology discipline
  • Experience in defining business requirements for software development 
  • Experience working with an online brand desirable 
  • Knowledge of the leisure/gaming industry be advantageous
  • Experience with customer service facing developments including online payments, as well as marketing/affiliate developments would be advantageous
  • 2 years experience in a similar discipline
