Business Analyst - Sports
Reports to: Lead Business Analyst - Sports
Department: Non Retail
Overall Purpose of Job:
Due to increased volume of development work within our Non-Retail Development team, we require a Business Analyst to join our team.
The overall role and responsibility of the Business Analyst is to develop and progress Paddy Powers online business’ development requirements and ensure that these aims and objectives are met by the technical solutions delivered.
The Sports Business Analyst role will focus on the development of the online Sportsbook, Mobile and Dial-A-Bet channels.
Main duties & responsibilities:
- To create functional specifications for development projects in accordance with the objectives of the business channels.
- To carry out requirements analysis and assist with formulation of new development proposals
- Liaise with internal and external software development teams to clarify development requirements
- Liaise with the internal testing team to ensure project requirements are delivered as expected. This will include user-acceptance testing of new developments.
- Plan and co-ordinate change management required for roll-out of new developments

- Practical knowledge of software development lifecycles

- Ability to work in a team environment and on your own initiative.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelors/Masters degree in a business or technology discipline
- Experience in defining business requirements for software development
- Experience working with an online brand desirable
- Previous experience in a business analysis capacity for an online sports betting website would be advantageous
- 2 years experience in a similar discipline
