Project Manager – Non Retail Development

Overall Purpose of Job:

The overall role and responsibility of the Projects Manager is to manage the Online Development deliveries which support all software development projects undertaken within Paddy Power PLC.
You will be responsible for working closely with Business Analysts, Online Development Management and the IT Technology teams to ensure that all specifications, designs and UAT are delivered in a timely fashion in order to support the software release product cycle.

Main duties & responsibilities:

• Manage all the Online Development deliverables for all the software releases within Paddy Power
• Ensuring that all requirements specifications are signed off in timely manner in order for design to commence
• Works with IT Development, Operations and Web Development teams to ensure that they have all requirements met in order to build and deliver software features
• Works with IT Development, Operations and Web Development teams to ensure that all issues are resolved during all phases of release
• Manages the web page template production for releases with our Usability, Design and Web Development teams
• Manages all UAT phases of software releases
• Provide support to IT Development teams during system testing of software and input into Bug Management and resolution
• Ensures that post release sign off is facilitated by the business stakeholders
  

Essential Competencies:

• 3 years plus Project Management experience; preferably in software development and release 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
• Strong relationship management skills 
• Strong project delivery management
• Ability to work under pressure and on own initiative 
• Superb organizational skills 
• Good understanding of business technology
  

Education & Experience:

• Bachelors Degree in a Business or Technology discipline 
• PM certification is desirable
• Experience working with an online business desirable 
• Experience of working in both Waterfall and Agile development methodologies an advantage
